Strobie collects no personal data. Everything the app does happens on your device.
Microphone
Strobie uses the microphone only to detect the pitch of your instrument while the tuner is running. The audio is analysed in memory as it arrives and then discarded. It is never recorded, saved to disk or sent anywhere.
Settings
Your tuner settings, such as the reference pitch, temperament and display options, are saved in the app's own storage on your device. They are not synced or shared.
No tracking, no network
The app has no accounts, ads, analytics or crash reporting, and it does not connect to the internet. No data is shared with third parties.
This website
strobie.app is a static site served through Cloudflare. It sets no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the pages viewed, the referring site, and the browser, device type and country, without cookies and without following you across sites. We only see totals, never individual visitors. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, see the Cloudflare privacy policy.
If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we don't share them with anyone.
Children
Strobie collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
